The Prospects of Creating a Common Textbook on the History of South Caucasus

Abstract

The article is devoted to the issues of the creation of the common textbook on the History of South Caucasus. The gaps that exist in teaching History are studied in Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia. The advantages of the creation of the textbook have been substantiated. We referred to the Caucasian regional identity, putting it into comparison with other regional identities and studying it in the historical development. The principles, which can help to write the textbook of History which is for the citizens of the countries of Southern Caucasus, have been put into circulation.
